Speakers in the dash or doors of the car require very less amount of power. In such cases the cross over can be set as 100 Hz. This acts as a high pass. The next step is setting the amplifier's level of gain control. Switch on the car receiver at a volume in which one always listens to. Until slight distortion is produced the gain control is turned to the clockwise direction while the music is on the run. Put it back anti clockwise until the distortion lowers.
The amplifier's bass boost is then set. This is the next thing to be done. This bass boost comes as an in built feature of few audio's manufactured by JL groups.
