How can I find"gain" value on bending conduit without measuring,?
I don't have a bender or measuring tape. I have a 90 deg. 20" stub up.
I'm looking for a formula to find gain values but for this question let's say I'm using 1/2 in. EMT. Thank you for your help.
P = pipe size.
D = number of degrees to bend
Pipe length = the length of the pipe in the bend
5 standard multiplier
Pipe length = P x 5 x dia of wheel (maybe 2" on 1/2" pipe) x π x D/360
so you have
pl=.5 x 5 x 2 x 3.14 x 90/360
