Motor protection control is not some new lubricant for your cars engine; it is a complex machine which regulates the start up of large motors. These motors often work in harsh, remote, or dangerous conditions where motor failure is not an option. All large marine ships have motor protection control including naval ships, large ferries and cruise liners. Most likely these ships have several motor protection controls for specific equipment like pumps, propulsion engines and electrical generators.
Motor protection controls are needed when engines start up. When an engine starts it needs a large amount of energy to start moving because the resting inertia makes its difficult to get the part moving. This happens when the metal is cold and therefore more brittle and prone to cracking. Motor protection control is needed to soft start engines to control electrical current inrush and prevent the motors from being damaged by a hard startup. If a motor fails while a ship is at sea it can have catastrophic effects on the ship, passengers and crew. Motor protection control protects engines from damage and extends their life.
Motor Protection Controls the Gold Standard
The Kahama Gold Mine in Tanzania, Africa installed motor protection control HRVS-DN by Solcon Industries to power up and control stop their exhaust fans. These high power fans circulate the air down in the mine and help maintain steady air pressure to avoid cave-ins. If one of these high power fans were to be started to harshly with out motor protection control then the blades could shear off and become lethal projectiles. These fans provide air to the mine making them critical to the safety of the miners down below. With motor protection control the fans are better maintained and their lifespan increases.
In Chile, the Dominican Republic and all over South America motor protection controls are being installed on large water pumps. These pumps, are pumping fresh water from deep wells and remote locations and bringing to impoverished areas. Because the pumps are remotely located motor protections control HRVS-DN's are being installed to make sure that everybody in South America has access to clean water.
